Falling into Fall

October is a beautiful month filled with cooler temperatures, leaves changing colors, birthdays, football, and pumpkin everything!

The children at Homes of Hope for Children started this month off with spending their Fall Break from school at Seeker Springs Camp in Louisiana. They look forward to this camp every year where they learn more about our Lord and Savior while also having tons of fun.

This month,
we had a superhero birthday party for a super little three year old.
We spent our Friday nights watching two of our children march in the Purvis High School marching band, our Saturday mornings watching four of our boys playing flag football and our weeknights watching two of our boys play 9th grade football for Purvis. We are so delighted to watch our band members and football players.

We also happily supported two of our boys who are on the Purvis Cross Country team and very proud of one boy who is on the Purvis Robotics team.

Saturday afternoons we spent watching SEC football and having tailgate parties at the cottages and having football games on the playground.

We had a great time painting and decorating pumpkins, attending school and church Fall Festivals, dressing up in our favorite costumes, going on school and church field trips to pumpkin patches and museums, and playing at the local parks.

This month could not slip by without us eating pumpkin recipes and other fall treats, but most of all, eating candy!

October has been a spectacular month for HOHFC and we look forward to November!
